The group is currently Tamara, Astrid, and Hugo. They are all a little trapped in a hotel in Ellensburg. 

Someone tries to contact Tamara psychically and she resists. 

Hugo spends time reading more deeply into the interview with "Francesca." The interview seems to be a dialogue through psychic transmission where the interviewee is being asked to admit that they believe in God and renounce their heretic ways.

Discussing the book with the others, Astrid and Tamara figure out that the book may be a creation of paradox, interweaving The initials on the book are Q.X.Z.

Hugo calls Emma to ask about the initials. There's a family out in Wymer, the Zieglers, who have a string of similarly named boys: Quentin Xavier Ziegler. 

They look the family up in the phone book and find an address but no phone number. They decide to rent a car and drive out there. Tamara scans the book a little with Mind and confirms that it is a thing of Paradox and the only attachments the book has is to Hugo. 

The terrain is flat and treeless, so they see the house a mile away. As the group draws near, there are two people. Man in his 20s, woman in her 40s. Each are dressed in T-shirt and Jeans. The man looks as though he might have a disability. 

The group gets out, and Hugo starts doing a staged ramble to lead into asking about the book as a puzzle to be solved. They look confused by the non-English language. Tamara scans for Prime and Mind, and the man seems to be a "receiver". As Tamara scans, he seems to notice. 

Tamara psychically connects with Quentin the 5th, who is surprised to talk to someone. He is able to pick up things, and knows that the people in the compound are afraid because of what a woman did. It seems as though they are afraid because she contacted the PCs. 

Two hours after the previous attempt, someone tries to contact Tamara again. She accepts this time. It's Derek, who is concerned because the future cops are more aggressively looking for Tamara with posters featuring her face. 

Tamara calls Moira, her police contact, but she is out dealing with "disturbances." Which is weird for a homocide detective. Tamara gets a newspaper to see what's going on, and there are vague reports that suggest supernatural effects that mortals are trying to rationalize. 

They call Jada, who says they are trying to figure out is going on. She says they are working on it, but it's all weird. They thought it might be maurauders, but they are very organized. 

Tamara's contact, Uncle Astral, also pages her about the Future Cops. She gets a hotline number. With help from Hugo they construct a way to mask where they are calling from. Combined with a ward against scrying, Tamara calls the number. 

The organization is called TN Enterprises. They say that Tamara is a missing person, but will not give any information about why they need to find her. Finally Tamara gets frustrated and makes psychic contact, but instead gets a series of scents and colors that do not make sense. But they do not seem to be trying to protect her. They refuse to. 

Desperate for ideas, they call the vampire and he comes to meet them at their hotel. His name is Adrian. The cultists have faith that will repel vampires. He's not willing to do an assault, but is willing to do a distraction concert to make sure the cops are distracted.  

They get a page from Jada, who got a call from the mortuary who got a call from the rental agency who got a call from Christine Ziegler who says that Quentin has a message for Tamara. 

They hurry out there to talk to Quentin. He has heard that they are moving "her" that night. They'll have security including snipers.  

Tamara explains some of the situation to Quentin's mom and offers to put her in touch with someone from the college in Ellensberg that might be able to help with communication.
